Book Fair 2023: What is Book Fair?

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Book Fair. Hosted by Redlands College Library, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school. More books means more choice, which means kids get to read the books they want to read. The right book can ignite a passion for reading, so we encourage families to work together to create a reading culture at home. Reading expands the mind and nourishes the imagination.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
DONATE A BOOK

 

  • Choose a Book Fair book specified on a Class or Library Wish List
  • Volunteer Staff will locate the book at the Fair for you to purchase
  • Student will choose a 'leaf' and the coloured sticker on the back will indicate which thank you gift has been chosen. Thank you gifts include lollipops, stationery items, poster or book voucher.
  • Donors will be acknowledged in the College notices as well as a 'Bookplate' Donation Sticker placed inside the donated book.
  • Students who make a donation will be invited to an exclusive Morning Tea and short movie in the Library.

KEEPING $$$ SAFE!

 

Please do not send Junior School students to the Book Fair alone with cash except on the specified day. If it is not possible for you to attend the Book Fair with your Junior School child,

We have three options to keep $$ safe:

  1. Pay Online - use the credit card option on the back of the Scholastic brochure. Specify the exact items you wish to purchase, write the receipt number on the form, send it with your child to Book Fair. All books (except Wacky Packs) can be ordered if sold out. Be aware that stationary items cannot be ordered once sold out but a similar item will be substituted if requested item is unavailable.
  2. Write you credit card details on the back of the wish list each child will be provided. Write or highlight items to be bought and send it with your child to the Book Fair.
  3. On Friday 19 May ONLY, place money for your child's purchase in a sealed envelope. Write their name, class and amount enclosed on it and give it to the Class Teacher. Mrs Peachey will take these children to the Book Fair with their envelope during the day. Change will be sealed back into the envelop. Please consider what an appropriate amount would be for your child to bring to school.
