Book Week 2023: Junior Lunchtime Activities

Junior Lunchtime Activities Schedule

During Book Week, first breaks will be filled with fun activities for all Junior students. 
The following is a daily schedule of activities. 

Monday 21st August (First Break) - Frank's Red Hat 

Join your class for a Frank's Red Hat activity. Create cute little paper penguins with red hats. This activity is based on CBCA's shortlisted book Frank's Red Hat by Sean E. Avery (2022).

Tuesday 22nd August (First Break) - Paper Monsters 

Join your classmates in first break for this fun activity. Create Paper Collage Monsters using coloured paper, feathers, wiggly eyes, etc. - Just be creative! This activity is based on the book Paper Monsters by Oscar Sabini (2017).

Wednesday 23rd August (First Break) - Reading with Musical Characters (Junior & Middle/Senior)

Did you enjoy the Musical Into the Woods from last term? Well, you're in for a treat with most of the main characters in the musical coming in for some fairytale reading with junior students...wait for it...with their costumes on!! Don't miss this unique experience.

Thursday 24th August (First Break) - Book-Week-themed Inspired Colouring

Read, Know, Inspire - Join your classmates in creating fun book-week-themed inspired bookmarks. This is just a fun, relaxed activity that will help you get into the spirit of Book Week. 


Friday 25th August (First Break) - Photo booth

Take the opportunity to take some photos of yourself and your friends in costumes.
There will be photo booths available during first and second breaks. Never forget the day.
