Here you’ll be able to deep dive into Queensland’s war history, taking you on a journey from World War I to today.

Built by convicts between 1828 and 1829, the Commissariat Store is Queensland’s most significant and oldest habitable building. Step inside the museum to discover Queensland’s history. The building truly is an exhibit in its own right but there are also rotating exhibitions through to more permanent rooms that explore the colonial period of our history, keep an eye out for the famous ‘convict finger’... All guests are offered a complimentary guided tour as part of your entry.

The Cube is one of the world's largest interactive digital display systems. It's two storeys high, has 170m2 of high-definition screens, and includes 48 touch panels.
The space offers new and exciting learning opportunities for school groups, as we can use the responsive display screens to simulate environments, display data and interact with virtual objects. 30-minute interactive experiences include:
- Physics Observatory
- ChemWorld
- The Living Reef
- Code-A-Bot

Brisbane City Council is dedicated to a liveable city, creating more leisure options and better facilities and venues for all ages to enjoy. Council libraries provide a wide range of services including book clubs, reading programs, computer training, events and workshops. MacArthur Museum looks behind the front lines of the Second World War. Discover the role Brisbane played from 1939 – 1945 by visiting the Museum.The Museum also focuses on the developing alliance between Australia and the US brought about by the cooperation between the armed forces of both countries during World War Two.

Queensland’s first public and heritage listed building, Old Government House, is swimming in history and has its doors open for the public to enjoy. Alongside its 1860s architecture, the building boasts a historic house museum and you’ll also have access to the William Robertson Gallery and the QUT Art Museum.

QAGOMA is one of Australia’s most visited, ambitious and dynamic galleries.
Together the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) and Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) are home to ever-changing exhibitions, immersive cultural experiences and a rich collection of art from diverse cultures across Australia and around the world.
Located riverside across two architecturally-acclaimed buildings in the Queensland Cultural Centre, QAGOMA is a short walk from the city and adjacent to South Bank and welcomes visitors of all ages, interests and abilities.

Queensland Museum is the network’s flagship campus and is a museum of natural history, cultural heritage, science and human achievement that tells the changing story of Queensland.
The museum houses permanent galleries including the redeveloped SparkLab, Sciencentre; the Anzac Legacy Gallery; the Discovery Centre where visitors can interact with hundreds of objects, animals and fossils; the Lost Creatures gallery about Queensland dinosaurs and megafauna; and the Wild State gallery showcasing Queensland’s unique biodiversity.

It may not be a white house but you can enjoy the beautifully restored interior of Parliament House that showcases Queensland's history, as shaped by the governments and laws that have been made in the Parliament. Check the website for details on public tours and events at Parliament.

Our school holiday programs are planned as a real life experience rather than an ‘add on’ to our working day. All participants in all programs will be doing what the amazing staff and volunteers do every day. They will assist with the jobs that need to be done. If it is patting puppies and cuddling kittens you are after, of course there is some of that, maybe these programs are not for you. If you want to work with, and learn about, animals then this is a great opportunity to do that.
Each day has a tour of the entire Wacol campus to meet some of those guests who may not be a part of your selected program. We will have breaks so make sure you bring something to eat, cold water is available across the campus so have a water bottle. You will need to have closed in shoes and a hat (sunscreen optional) to participate as we will be spending some time in the sun in all programs and we want to stay sun safe.

Brisbane City Council's Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium opened in 1978. Located in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, the Planetarium is home to the Cosmic Skydome - a 12.5-metre-diameter projection dome. Visit the Planetarium to enjoy a show (including a tour of Brisbane's night sky), and tour the Display Zone. The Planetarium also includes an observatory, Galaxy Gift Shop and Sundial Courtyard. Mount Cotton Park is a beautiful park for the whole family. There is lots of space to run around, a playground to explore, ducks to feed and a pretty awesome skate park. Why not take a picnic lunch and soak up the winter sun?! The Mount Cotton Central Shopping Village overlooks the skate park and is a short stroll if you need to grab a coffee or a bite to eat.

Redlands Art School was established in 2003 as an Art School and workshop venue. Founder, Tania Davidson has gradually built the art classes and art studio into a well known and loved art facility.
Tania has studied decoration, Illustration, traveled the world and completed a Bachelor degree in Visual Arts through QUT. The Art school has steadily grown in popularity as more and more students attend the art classes. Thousands of students have attended workshops with Tania and Tim! Tania Davidson has now joined forces with husband and fellow artist Tim Davidson. When Tim isn't out creating mural art, or fishing:) Tim can be found in his Drawing Lab. A great space for focussed kids over 10 wanting to learn how to draw. Tim Davidson has a background in the Graphic Arts industry, he also studied illustration and has a fantastic eye for colour! Both Tim and Tania also run engaging workshops and creative projects for schools and private groups.
